Ratatouille is based on the animated film of the same name. Developed by Asobo Studio, this version, like its predecessors, is a 3D platformer, but features a unique design and levels. While the game doesn't exactly follow the film's plot, the film's main voice actors reprise their characters' voices. The player controls Remy, a mouse with a unique flair. Upon arriving in Paris near the restaurant of renowned chef Gusto, Remy helps the other mice prepare meals while trying to fulfill his dream of becoming a chef.
While many of the game's environments resemble the next-gen version, this version lacks almost all of the open-world elements found in the previous game, featuring smaller levels and a linear storyline. Remy can jump, swing across pipes, balance on ropes, climb multiple walls, and use a spoon as a weapon and his tail to defend himself in various environments, including sewers, Parisian streets and rooftops, a restaurant kitchen, and a food market.
