Inmates, the protagonist, awakens in a prison cell and must interact with the environment to solve various logic puzzles and escape. The protagonist of this horror adventure doesn't understand how he ended up in prison, yet he senses familiarity in the objects around his cell. Frequently suffering from sleep disorders and nightmares following a loss, the young man believes he's still asleep. The game features challenging puzzles, a terrifying atmosphere, and sophisticated graphics powered by the Unreal Engine. One day, Jonathan, a young man suffering from a sleep disorder, has nightmares that come true. He wakes up in a half-empty, dark, and gloomy prison, alone, but hopes it's just a dream. Waking from a daze, he realizes he urgently needs to escape. His head hurts terribly, he has no memory of what happened, and he doesn't know how he ended up in such a strange place.
Suddenly, a stranger's voice is heard from an old radio, claiming he's awake and needs to solve logic puzzles to escape. He must interact with the environment, gradually uncovering how he ended up in such a strange place and uncovering the secrets hidden within its walls. Along the way, the player must explore the prison, listening to prompts from the radio—his doctor—who assigns various missions, such as finding a key or entering a neighbor's cell to perform a specific action. For example, there are rooms with doors behind which levers are located, and you need to memorize symbols to activate them correctly, and there are also rooms without gravity. The gameplay is a walking simulator, where you must find a way to open the next door to progress. The character himself is unable to run, periodically encountering his alter ego, the creepy Roy, while trying to avoid such encounters. The player also collects matches, which are needed to illuminate dark areas of the locations.
