The Monster Hunter World Iceborne expansion begins with strange events: Legians begin flying off en masse to other locations, as if foreshadowing great trouble. Members of the research mission decide to investigate and organize a full-scale operation. It turns out that strange seismic activity has begun in the New World. These phenomena have triggered events that threaten climate change. Meanwhile, it turns out that the cause of these events is a dangerous monster, better known as the Old Eternal Wyrm.
The heroes of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne return home and discover that other creatures have appeared on the planet, including the Velkhana Dragon and other potential foes. As a hunter, they must travel extensively and set traps. An ecosystem emerges, home to previously unknown animals and birds. The process has been moved to a cold environment, so it's important to seek out hot drinks, stay warm, and remember that snowdrifts reduce movement speed. You need to gather resources and tame animals: they can be used as transport and move faster across locations. Additional weapons and equipment have been added for effective combat. You can combine existing strikes and attacks to inflict devastating damage on your enemies. Victory rewards you with more durable armor or equipment for use in battle.
