DEATHLOOP, players take control of a black man named Colt. Due to amnesia, he has forgotten all the details of his life. He completes missions on an open-world island. The ultimate goal is to eliminate eight visionaries. The protagonist is trapped in a time loop. If he doesn't complete the task before the next day, all eliminated enemies will resurrect. The main antagonist is the hitman Julianna. She is also trapped in a time loop. To escape, the assassin must kill Colt. If playing solo, Julianna is controlled by artificial intelligence. A real user can also play as Julianna.
Deathloop takes place on Blackreef Island, where the protagonist has no allies. Every single resident of the island is an enemy and must be eliminated without hesitation. NPCs live through a single day. Therefore, the game gradually becomes easier, as enemies act according to the same algorithm each time. The player chooses their tactics and strategy. They can stage a loud firefight or act quietly and stealthily, eliminating each visionary one by one in stealth mode. The most valuable resource is Residuum. It is needed to purchase trinkets and weapons.
