Silent Hill 3 is a role-playing role-playing game that was released by Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo under the name Team Silent for the PlayStation 2. It is the third installment in the Silent Hill series and the sequel to the first installment.
The title takes place seventeen years after the events of the first video game in the series. Silent Hill 3 tells the story of a teenager, Heather Mason, who enters a dark world after tragedy strikes at the mall.
She learns that she was a target of the Order of Silent Hill and becomes involved in the war against the villagers. Silent Hill 3 has received mostly positive reviews, especially for the presentation, setting, graphics, and soundtrack, as well as for all the survival horror elements of the story. It managed to sell over 700,000 units worldwide.
